You may be wondering what happened to the pictures on this blog. The blog posts were originally generated from Posterous (when that form of autoposting worked; that broke last fall and never was fixed). Twitter bought Posterous and killed it off. When the posts were made from Posterous, the photos were linked to Posterous rather than being copied over to Blogger. Now that Posterous is truly gone, so are the photos.
I was able to save the complete set of posts, including photos. I will eventually host the posts about radio at a site that I control. That will require manual effort. As you can tell from the paucity of activity this year, I am quite busy. So I haven’t had the time to make that effort.
There may be simpler solutions, such as uploading the photos directly to this blog, though that will require manual effort, too.
I’m sorry this has happened, because I think the photos really did add a nice dimension to the posts. This is a lesson: never depend upon a site someone else controls. That’s why I haven’t done more with Tumblr. Posterous looked great and I wish it were still around. But it’s not, and it’s had an adverse effect here, too.
When I get some of the posts moved over, I plan to announce it here.
